Jay falls to Wells
Jay County Summer Swim Team
Jay County Summer Swim fell short against Wells Community Thursday 655 to 624 in its second dual meet of the season.
Jay County picked up wins in 7 of 16 relays and 30 of 56 individual events at Wells Community pool, but still fell shy of the win, falling to 0-2 in dual meets this year.
Triple event winners on the day were, Noah Hummel, 9-10 boys butterfly, breaststroke and short free; Sophie Bader, long free, butterfly and breaststroke and Anne Vormohr, backstroke, IM and short free in 11-12 girls; Caitlin Mark, 13-14 girls butterfly, backstroke and short free; and Jay County High School swimmer Cori Vormohr, long free, IM and breaststroke in the 15 and over girls group.
Double winners include Alex Bader, Sydney Mathias, Neal Fenning and Sam Miller, while Eliza Bader, Elizabeth McDowell, Daniel Ostrowski, Haley Confer, Zach James, Wiley Young, and Aaron Hudson all picked up individual wins.[[In-content Ad]]
