Jay gets another dual win (06/15/07)

Jay County Summer Swim Team

The record stays perfect.

Jay County's Summer Swim Team is now 4-0 in dual meets this season, rolling past Union City Thursday 773-294.

Jay swimmers accounted for 48 of 60 individual firsts and 17 of 18 relay wins.

Cori Vormohr continued to have an outstanding summer, setting new team and pool records for girls 15 and over. Her new record in the 50-meter freestyle is 29.01.

Three swimmers in the 11-12 age group were triple event winners. Caitlin Mark won the 11-12 girls long free, butterfly, and breaststroke. Zane Shreve won the 11-12 boys long free, butterfly, and breaststroke. Sammi Compton won the 11-12 girls backstroke, IM, and short free.

There were several double event winners: Alex Bader, 8 and under girls long free and breaststroke; Sydney Mathias, 8 and under girls buttlerfly and IM; Cori Stone, 9-10 girls long free and short free; Radney Pearson, 11-12 boys IM and short free; Mary Hudson, 13-14 girls long free and breaststroke; Aly Miller, 13-14 girls IM and short free; Neal Fennig, 13-14 boys long free and short free; Cori Vormohr, 15 and over girls butterfly and short free; Sam Miller, 15 and over boys long free and breaststroke; Aaron Hudson, 15 and over boys butterfly and IM.

Single event winners included Lynnae Betts, Sophie Bader, Katy Smeltzer, Ashley Mark, Anne Vormohr, Levi Hummel, Sok Vormohr, Adam Abbott, Marissa Murrell, Eme Miller, Wiley Young, Lucas Holcomb, Caleb Hummel, Richard Osterholt, Tina Gingrasso, Caitlin Ruchgy, Lauren Murrell, Tom McCord, and Perry Hull.
