CONVERSE — Jay County’s girls cross country team added another high finish to its season resume. But, its still looking for its first invitational win.

The Patriots placed second Tuesday for the second time this year, taking the runner-up spot at the Oak Hill Invitational with 90 points.

Western, the defending Marion sectional champion, dominated the meet with seven of the top 17 finishers in the 10-team meet to score 37 points. Blackford was third with 97.

The Jay County boys were eighth in a nine-team field with 224 points, finishing ahead of White’s (245). Blackford was first with a score of 30.
