Jay start will have to wait (04/05/07)

While they were away, the weather was fine to play. But the return from spring break has left the Patriots out in the cold.

The start to Jay County's spring sports season will be delayed a week because of Tuesday's storm and the chilly weather which has followed. JCHS has postponed all events scheduled today, as well as those scheduled for Saturday.

No events were on the docket for Friday.

The following is a list of the delayed events, and the dates for which they have been rescheduled.

Junior varsity baseball at Muncie Central - Tuesday, April 10 - 5 p.m.

Girls tennis at Bellmont - Wednesday, April 11 - 4:30 p.m.

Softball vs. Connersville - Friday, April 13 - 5 p.m.

Track vs. Bellmont - Saturday, April 14 - 11 a.m.

Softball vs. Delta - Tuesday, April 24 - 5 p.m. (JV - 6:30 p.m.)

Girls tennis at Blackford - Wednesday, May 9 - 5 p.m.

The boys golf team's trip to the Yorktown Invitational and baseball team's game at Mississinewa, both of which were scheduled for Saturday, have yet to be rescheduled.[[In-content Ad]]
