PORTLAND — A seventh straight victory proved to be no problem for the Jay County Summer Swim Team.
Jay County continued to roll through a perfect season Tuesday night, thumping Delta 843-175 at the Portland Pool. The team won all 20 relays and had seven triple-event winners led by Sam Miller.
Miller, who bumped up an age group to swim in the 15-and-older division, had a dominant evening. He was first in the long freestyle, butterfly and breaststroke.
Jay County (7-0) also had two triple winners apiece in the 9-10-year-old girls and 8-and-younger boys divisions.
Rachel Vogler took both the long and short freestyle and the backstroke for the girls, and Caitlin Mark was first in the butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke. For the boys it was Levi Hummel winning the long freestyle, individual medley and breaststroke and Sok Vormohr grabbing the butterfly, backstroke and short freestyle.
Anne Vormohr grabbed three more wins in the 8-and-younger division on the girls side. She reached the wall first in the long freestyle, backstroke and individual medley.
Aaron Hudson also won the butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke for the 13-14-year-old boys.
Radney Pearson, Richard Osterholt, Neal Fennig and Cori Vormohr each added a pair of wins for Jay County.[[In-content Ad]]
