There's no stopping the Jay County tankers.
Jay County's Summer Swim team continued its perfect season Tuesday night, winning 47 of 60 individual events in a 701-442 victory over South Adams. The squad is now 6-0 in dual meets, and also won as hosts of the Wabash Conference Relays.
Eight different swimmers won three events for Jay County Tuesday, including a male and female each in the 8-and-younger, 9-10-year-old and 13-14-year-old divisions.
Neal Fennig (13-14 boys), Noah Hummel (8-younger boys) and Anne Vormohr (9-10 girls) put together matching evenings, each winning the long freestyle, backstroke and individual medley in their divisions. Levi Hummel (9-10 boys) and Aly Miller (13-14 girls) also turned in identical efforts with wins in the long freestyle, individual medley and short freestyle.
Alex Bader took the top spot in the 8-and-younger girls butterfly individual medley and short freestyle.
Jay County's triple event winners in the other two divisions also had matching evenings with Caitlin Mark (11-12 girls) and Sam Miller (15-older boys) winning the butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke.
Brandt Pearson, Sophie Bader, Adam Abbott, Eme Miller, Richard Osterholt, Tina Gingrasso, Cori Vormohr and Aaron Hudson each finished with two victories against South Adams. Other winners were Sydney Mathias, Sok Vormohr, Zane Shreve, Mary Hudson, Lucas Holcomb, Caitlin Ruchgy and Michelle Landfair.[[In-content Ad]]
