Local roundup

INDIANAPOLIS — The Patriots have their eyes on their first sectional championship in school history. They’ll have to start their run against a team that played for the state title last season.

The Patriots (11-8) will play Huntington North, which lost the 2012 state championship game 3-1 to Plainfield, in the first opening-round game with New Haven and the host Spartans to follow. The winners will play in the semifinal round at 5 p.m. May 22, and Wayne and Fort Wayne South Side will follow in the second semifinal game.
The championship game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on May 24.
