ST. HENRY, Ohio - The Jay County Summer Swim Team came away happy from its first trip to St. Henry.
Jay County won the first ever meeting between the two squads Monday night, 575-295.
It took the top spot in 47 out of 52 individual events and 14 of 20 relays on the way to the victory.
Adam Abbott, Radney Pearson and Caitlin Mark teamed to dominate the 11-12-year-old division to lead the win
Abbot was first in the boys short freestyle, long freestyle and backstroke while Pearson took the butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke. Mark finished in the top spot in the girls long freestyle, individual medley and breaststroke.
Levi Hummel and Sok Vormohr also made it a Jay County sweep in the 9-10-year-old boys division. Hummel won the butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke while Vormohr placed first in the short freestyle, backstroke and long freestyle.
Alex Bader won the 8-and-younger girls breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke, Neal Fennig finished first in the 13-14-year-old boys short freestyle, individual medley and backstroke and Sam Miller took the 15-and-older boys butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke.
Seven more swimmers added two wins apiece as Jay County ran its record to 3-0 in dual meets.
Double winners were Alex Bullard, Brandt Pearson, Cori Stone, Anne Vormohr, Eme Miller, Aly Miller and Cori Vormohr.[[In-content Ad]]
