Last week vs. Pendleton Heights: Dezmon Nunn scored four times for the visiting Arabians as they handed Jay County a 49-0 defeat. It was the second shutout of the year for the Patriots, who were held to less than 100 yards of offense for the third time. Nunn finished with 132 yards on 13 carries as Pendleton Heights racked up nearly 500 yards of total offense.
Season leaders: Passing — Brock McFarland - 13-of-41 for 188 yards and two TDs. Rushing — Cade Price - 78 carries for 399 yards and three TDs, Blake Crouch - 61 carries for 310 yards and five TDs. Receiving — Price - five receptions for 54 yards and one TD. Defense — Price - 54 tackles and two sacks, Cody Slusher - 45 tackles and 2.5 sacks.

Last week at Bluffton: The Patriots fell behind early in the second half, but Sam Reyna’s touchdown runs of 64 and 36 yards in the third quarter gave them the lead for good as they fought off the host Tigers 38-34. Jacob Roop also had two TD runs, including a 55-yarder in the first quarter, as he finished with 132 yards. Reyna had 115 yards on just 10 carries.
Season leaders: Passing — Conner Sheehan - 53-of-110 for 865 yards and three touchdowns. Rushing — Wil Knapke - 76 carries for 324 yards and four TDs, Jacob Roop - 63 carries for 258 yards and two TDs. Receiving — Blake Dossen - 20 receptions for 258 yards and two TDs, Sam Reyna - 15 receptions for 283 yards and four TDs, Knape - 15 receptions for 249 yards and two TDs.
Game notes: This will be the first meeting between Jay County and Heritage in football ... The teams have one common opponent this season. JCHS lost 59-6 to the Leo Lions, and Heritage fell 56-28 ... Heritage opened its season with an 31-7 loss to New Haven, the team that defeated Jay County 28-10 in the opening round of the 2009 sectional tournament ... JCHS has been held to seven points or fewer four times this season while Heritage has held an opponent to less than 21 just once ...
