Chance Milligan scored two individual victories and Sam Miller contributed to all three relay wins for the Jay County High School boys swim team, leading it to a 181-121 victory over the visiting Centerville Bulldogs.
Cori Vormohr and Michelle Landfair each picked up a pair of wins for the girls team as it overcame a record-breaking effort from Centerville's Jessica Squires for a 171-132 win.
Milligan took care of the sprints for the boys team, which bounced back from Tuesday's loss to Muncie Central to improve to 7-3. He was first in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.02 seconds, and teamed with freshman Neal Fennig for a one-two finish in the 100 freestyle in 56.44.
Miller won the only individual event he competed in - he posted a time of 26.02 in the 100 butterfly - and did the rest of his damage in the relays. He and Milligan joined Aaron Hudson and Tom McCord for first in the 200 medley relay at 1-minute, 47.46 seconds and teamed with Hudson and Lance VanSkyock for a first-place time of 1:38.57 in the 200 freestyle relay.
Miller, McCord, Fennig and Nathan Cain cruised to the 400 freestyle relay win in 3:44.22.
Vormohr, who set her fifth JCHS record Tuesday, crushed the field in the 100 butterfly. She won by more than 15 seconds in 1:04.88, and later led a top-three sweep in the 100 breaststroke in 1:13.61 ahead of Elaine Hemmelgarn and Caitlin Ruchgy.
Landfair held off Centerville's Alexis Lynch in both the 50 and 100 freestyle. She turned in winning times of 27.97 and 1:00.85 respectively.
Vormohr, Landfair, Aly Miller and Briann Saxman took the 400 freestyle relay in 4:20.14, and Vormohr teamed with Miller, Hemmelgarn and Ivy Simons to win the 200 medley relay at 2:10.94.
Those efforts helped overcome the diving performance from Squires. The Bulldog broke the pool record for six dives with 271.3 points, breaking the mark of 264.35 set by Muncie Central's Diana Cartwright in 1981.
Hudson and McCord each added victories for the Jay County boys while Aly Miller and Simons chipped in wins for the girls.
McCord took the 100 backstroke by more than eight seconds in 1:01.1, and Hudson finished the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.35 for first place.
Aly Miller was victorious in her first attempt at the 200 individual medley in 2:35.99, and Simons took the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:16.29.[[In-content Ad]]
