Local roundup

INDIANAPOLIS - The Patriots are probably ready to get back on the court. But more than two weeks off hasn't hurt their ranking.

JCHS (12-0) earned 60 poll points, 27 fewer than No. 5 Mooresville (13-0) and two in front of No. 7 Fishers (13-2). It's last game was a 40-27 victory over Bloomington North at the Bedford North Lawrence tournament, and it is scheduled to host Huntington North tonight.

The Patriots ranked third in Class 4A in defensive average at 35.7 points per game, and are fourth in margin of victory at 24.1. They are ranked seventh in the state overall in the Sagarin Ratings and 10th in the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association poll.
