The Patriots just want to repeat Thursday's result in a couple of months.
Jay County High School's swim teams scored impressive wins over the visiting Norwell Knights, who will be one of the top sectional contenders in February.
The JCHS girls team defeated the defending sectional champion Knights 172-140 to improve to 5-1 on the season. The boys team, which finished just ahead of Norwell at the 2008 sectional, cruised to a 197-121 victory.
Sam Miller and Aaron Hudson powered the Jay County boys, each winning a pair of events and contributing to two relay victories.
Miller took the 200-yard freestyle by about 17 seconds in 1-minute, 51.66 seconds, finishing ahead of runner-up teammate Nathan Cain. He was also first in the 100 freestyle at 49.27.
Hudson led a top-three sweep for the Patriots in the 100 butterfly, finishing 10 seconds ahead of Cain in 58.91 with Richard Osterholt in third place. His second win came in 1:05.2 in the 100 breaststroke.
The Patriots trailed the 200 freestyle relay when Miller dived in for the final leg, but he made up the difference in the first 25 meters and pulled away for the win. Miller, Hudson, VanSkyock and Cain posted a time of 1:38.39.
Hudson joined Osterholt, Chance Milligan and Wiley Young to win the 200 medley relay at 1:57.31, and Miller teamed with Cain, Milligan and Derik Lucas for first in the 400 freestyle relay in 58.91.
Cori Vormohr, who was out for Tuesday's loss to Oak Hill, was the lone double winner for the girls team. She fought off a pair of strong Norwell swimmers, taking the 50 freestyle by four tenths of a second in 25.78 and the 100 breaststroke by just over a second in 1:12.33.
In the boys competition, Milligan took the 500 freestyle in 5:59.56 with Hummel in second place, and Wiley Young won the 100 backstroke at 1:09.81. Steven Kelly won the diving competition with 228.5 points.
