JCHS boys soccer
HARTFORD CITY - The Patriots are still perfect.
Jay County High School's boys soccer team ran its record to 6-0 with a 6-3 victory over the host Blackford Bruins. JCHS has outscored opponents 30-7 thus far this season.
Isaac Poole and Brad Horn each scored a pair of goals, one each in the first and second half. They combined for 12 of the Patriots' 17 shots on goal.
Trey Dunn opened the score just 2:12 into the game, but Blackford answered back five minutes later to tie the score. Poole put Jay County back on top, only to have Blackford score again midway through the half to make it 2-2.
After Lance Louth gave JCHS the lead a third time, Blackford needed just 1:30 to pull even yet again. But Horn picked up the final goal of the opening half and Jay County shut out the Bruins after the intermission.
Adam Daniels finished with four saves.
