Jetmore leads West Jay victory (04/27/06)

DUNKIRK — Anneliese Jetmore scored the only two individual victories for the West Jay Middle School girls track team as it finished first ahead of Montpelier and Southern Wells Wednesday.
The Eagles also won one relay in scoring their 38 points. Montpelier was just behind with 36 points, and Southern Wells finished with 29.
Both of Jetmore’s wins came in the field events. She took first in the long jump at 12 feet even and won the high jump at four feet, five inches.
She was also second in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 6-minutes, 22 seconds.
Kyli Kelso, Mallory Levasser, Macey Gerber and Ashley Franklin teamed for the only other West Jay victory, winning the 4x100 relay in one minute flat.
Kelso was second in three events, finishing with times of 14.2 seconds in the 100 dash, 31.54 in the 200 dash and 1:11 in the 400 dash.
Brittany Muhlenkamp added a pair of runner-up efforts with tosses of 22 feet, seven inches in the shot put and 74 feet, five inches in the discus.[[In-content Ad]]
