Kaup's defense stellar as streak reaches six (11/03/07)

Joscie Kaup turned in two more big days of defense as the Orange winning streak continued.
Kaup, a 2004 Fort Recovery High School graduate, extended her Syracuse University career digs record by 50 as the women's volleyball team pushed its streak to six straight wins.
The senior libero came up with 29 digs in a 30-27, 30-25, 30-27 victory over West Virginia, and followed that effort a day later with 21 digs in a 30-24, 30-18, 30-27 triumph over Pittsburgh.
For the season, Kaup leads the Big East with 473 digs and ranks among the top 100 in the country. She also has 48 assists, 32 aces and four kills on the year.
Joseph Vormohr
Jay County - 2007
Helped lead the Hanover College football team to its second win of the year by a 24-21 score over Bluffton.
Vormohr started at center for the Panthers, who picked up 120 rushing yards.

Turned in the No. 6 and 7 times for the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's cross country team, which finished third at the Oct. 27 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships.
Mitchell Thomas finished 19th overall at the nine-team meet with a time of 27-minutes, 58 seconds in the 8K competition.
His twin brother Ian was seven seconds back in 20th.

Led the Marian College women's volleyball team in assists in a 27-30, 32-30, 23-30, 30-23, 15-9 loss Wednesday against IU-Southeast.
