Kaup's Orange on four-match win streak (10/27/07)

Joscie Kaup and her Syracuse University volleyball team are on a four-match winning streak.
Kaup, a 2004 Fort Recovery High School graduate, totaled 11 digs and a pair of assists in a four-game win Tuesday over Cornell. The victory was the fourth straight for the Orange, which improved to 16-10 overall and 4-4 in the Big East.
The senior and school record holder in digs also had 14 in the first half of Tuesday's double-header against Colgate. She added three assists and a pair of aces.
Kaup also played in a pair of matches Oct. 19, finishing with 14 digs and three assists in a win over Long Island and 15 digs, four aces and an assist in a victory against Marquette.
She has 423 digs on the year to go along with 48 assists, a team-best 32 aces and four kills.
Alyssa Johnson
Jay County - 2006
Helped the Taylor University women's cross country team to a third-place effort Oct. 20 at the nine-team Mid-Central Conference Championships.
Johnson turned in the No. 2 time for the Trojans in 17th place. She finished in 20-minutes, 4 seconds, just in front of teammate Rebecca Clouse (18th - 20:06).
Jill Roughia
Jay County - 2005
Also competed at the Mid-Central Conference Championships, turning in the top time for the Huntington University women's cross country team.
Roughia was the only Forester to crack the top 50, finishing 25th in 20-minutes, 30.37 seconds. Huntington placed eighth as a team.
Tiff Gaerke
Fort Recovery - 2007
Picked up one dig and one block in the first loss of the season for the No. 17 University of Dayton volleyball team. The Flyers, now 21-1, lost 30-25, 30-13, 21-30, 30-16 Oct. 19 to Atlantic 10 conference rival Xavier.
Joseph Vormohr
Jay County - 2006
Started at center Oct. 19 for the Hanover College football team, which lost 33-7 to Defiance.
The Panthers are now 1-6 on the year.
Luke McClung

Played all 90 minutes in the final game of the season for the Anderson University junior varsity men's soccer team.
