Lennartz lifts Tribe over Skins

FORT RECOVERY — Tori Lennartz scored a season-high 21 points, and two other Indians scored in double figures Saturday as the Fort Recovery High School girls basketball team defeated the Wapakoneta Redskins 71-60.
The Indians improve to 4-0 on the season.
Kara Jutte and Sierra Pugh tallied 17 and 12 points respectively as the Indians shot nearly 70 percent from the field in the second half.
Lennartz, who was 10-of-12 from the free throw line, also added four rebounds and three assists. Jutte grabbed six boards, and Pugh had three.
Kendra Siefring had a team-high eight rebounds to go with her nine points, and Caley Schoenherr had six points.
Julie Wendel, Cassidy Rammel and Jocelyn Kaiser each added two points.
The Tribe’s junior varsity team also beat the Redskins, 32-25 with Kirsten Jutte and Jocelyn Kaiser each netting nine points. Kaiser grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, and Whitney Will had eight points and seven boards.

Wave tops Tribe
GREENVILLE, Ohio — The Fort Recovery boys basketball team was limited to three points in the second quarter Saturday and shot just 20 percent from the field in the first half as the Greenville Green Wave topped the Indians 64-47.
After dropping 21 points in the season opener, Elijah Kahlig continued his offensive onslaught, scoring a game-high 19 points. He also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.

Alex Kaiser tallied nine points for the Indians (1-1), while Kyle Schroer and Ben Dilworth each added eight.
Clay Guillozet netted 16 points for the Redskins, who had four players score in double figures.
For the Fort Recovery junior varsity squad, Caleb Martin and Micaiah Cox combined to outscore Greenville by themselves, netting 18 and 16 points respectively as the Tribe defeated the Green Wave 48-26.
Brandon Schoen scored seven points for the Indians, who limited the Green Wave to single-digit scoring in all but the third quarter.

Stars tame Broncos
BERNE — The South Adams boys basketball team held Daleville without a point in the fourth quarter Saturday as the Starfires tamed the Broncos 74-32.
It was the first time the South Adams (1-1) defeated an opponent by more than 40 points since Feb. 25, 1999, when the Starfires beat Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian 74-25.
Connor Sealscott and Marco Vasquez shared the game-high with 15 points apiece, and Sealscott grabbed 12 rebounds to complete the double-double.
Derek Wanner and Chandler Ingle also scored in double-digits for the Starfires, dropping 12 and 10 points respectively. Gared Grabau tallied six points, Wes Thompson had six and Marcus Teeter and Cal Clouser each added two points.
Bryce Stevens had seven points to lead Daleville.
The South Adams junior varsity team defeated Daleville 39-23. Cole Myers scored nearly as many points as the entire Bronco team, tallying 22 while Marcus Teeter added five.[[In-content Ad]]
