Anna added to MAC football

The Anna Rockets are joining the Midwest Athletic Conference. But only for football.

Anna, located about 35 miles east of Fort Recovery near the intersection of Ohio 119 and I-75 in Shelby County, will begin play in MAC football during the 2006-07 school year. It will continue to compete in the Cross County Conference in all other sports.

The Rockets will become the 10th MAC football team. New Knoxville, which competes in the MAC in other sports, does not field a football team.

Anna will be the third largest school in MAC football with a boys enrollment of 158. It trails only Versailles (185) and Coldwater (222).[[In-content Ad]]
