Marion can't stop Jay's High Rollers (11/30/05)

The Jay County High Rollers bowling team improved to 4-0 in conference play Tuesday with a 12-8 victory over Marion.
A dominant first game led the High Rollers as they took nine out of 10 points by winning 990-926. They dropped the second game by one, 930-929, but still held on for the win.
Cory Mock rolled the top game for Jay County at 245 while Thomas McCowan finished with a 400 series. Chris Elmore was the lone High Roller to score two points.
The junior varsity team also won, defeating South Adams 15-5. Coty Bragg and Baylin Brown each scored two points. Brown had a 202 for the top game, and Bragg had the best series with a 376.
Brown, Martyne lead JV
ANDERSON — Six Patriot wrestlers finished with winning records as the Jay County junior varsity wrestling team competed in a 16-team tournament at Anderson Highland Saturday.
No JCHS wrestler went undefeated, but Alan Brown (145) and Mitchell Martyne (215) each capped the day with 3-1 records. Finishing 2-1 were Cameron Pfeifer (103), Chris Fischer (135), Skylar Finnerty (140) and Aaron Brenner (145).[[In-content Ad]]
