Miller leads Jay Co. tankers (06/10/05)

Sam Miller powered the Jay County Summer Swim Team Thursday as it pulled off a close victory in its season-opener, 400-366, over Wells Community.
Miller was the lone Jay County swimmer to win three individual events. He was first in the 13-14-year-old boys long freestyle, individual medley and breaststroke.
Chance Milligan added two more wins in that division, taking first in the butterfly and short freestyle.
Cori Vormohr was first in the 13-14-year-old girls butterfly and individual medley.
Jay County also had a couple of double-winners in the 8-and-younger division. Sophie Bader was first in the girls butterfly and short freestyle, and Levi Hummel won the boys long freestyle and butterfly.
Alysha Miller picked up wins in 11-12-year-old girls long freestyle and short freestyle.
Adding single wins for Jay County were Annie Vormohr, Katy Smeltzer, Amelia Freeman, Rachel Vogler, Lynne Inman, Mary Hudson, Neil Fennig, Wiley Young, Lucas Holcomb, Lauren Murrell, Michelle Landfair, Perry Hull and Thomas Bowen.[[In-content Ad]]
