Miller's records lead Jay (07/02/08)

Sam Miller broke two more records Tuesday and Alex Bader added a third for the Jay County Summer Swim Team in its victory over Wells Community.

Miller powered Jay County, breaking a pair of team records that had stood for a quarter century. He knocked down the 15-and-older boys backstroke record set in 1983 and the breaststroke record set in 1980.

Bader took down the team record in the 8-and-younger butterfly as the team improved to 8-2.

Miller, Bader, Anne Vormohr, Caitlin Mark, Mary Hudson, Sophie Bader, Eme Miller, Cori Vormohr, Audrey Shreve and Aaron Hudson all won three events for Jay County. Wiley Young contributed two victories, and Aly Miller, Ian James, Katy Smeltzer, Zane Shreve, Daniel Ostrowski, Amelia Freeman and Lucas Holcomb each added one win apiece.[[In-content Ad]]
