Niekamp aiding No. 16 Findlay (12/02/06)

As the season moves on, Tyler Niekamp continues to improve.

The 2003 Fort Recovery graduate had his best game thus far Monday as the NCAA Division II No. 16 Findlay University men's basketball team pushed its record to 4-1.

Niekamp had season highs of eight points and seven rebounds in 14 minutes off the bench during Findlay's 99-67 bashing of Lake Erie. He hit three of his five field-goal attempts and was 2-of-2 from the foul line in the Oilers' third straight victory.

He added five points and three rebounds to help Findlay top Rio Grande 89-65 Nov. 25, and notched two points, three rebounds and two assists in an 81-49 win over Charleston Nov. 21.

Helped the Indiana University Southeast men's basketball team improve to 6-0 with its 86-69 victory Nov. 25 over Purdue Calumet.

Rigby shot 50 percent from the field and made one 3-pointer to finish with five points. He also had one rebound and one assist.[[In-content Ad]]
