Patriot girls to play tonight (02/07/07)

Tuesday's snow forced the postponement of most local events, including girls basketball games for Jay County and Fort Recovery high schools. It has already shut down one event for tonight as well.
The Patriots were scheduled to play Blackford in the opening round of the Class 3A sectional at Mississinewa. That game will be played tonight at approximately 7:30 p.m.
A trip to Celina to play the Bulldogs was set for the Indians. That game has been moved to Saturday, Feb. 17, at Celina at 1 p.m.
Jay County's freshman boys basketball game scheduled for tonight against Anderson has been canceled.
Tough 2nd hurts Tribe
NEW BREMEN, Ohio - Fort Recovery's freshman boys basketball team fell to 4-8 Monday following a 54-37 loss to the New Bremen Cardinals.
The Indians trailed 13-10 after the opening quarter, then were outscored 15-5 in the second to fall behind by 13 at the half. They allowed at least 13 points to New Bremen in every quarter.
Michael Gaerke powered Fort Recovery with 13 points. Craig Tobe joined him in double figures with 10 points, and Alan Lennartz scored six.[[In-content Ad]]
