MARION - The Jay County junior varsity volleyball team went 0-3 at the Marion Invitational Saturday.
The Patriots fell 25-13, 25-9 to Northfield, 25-15, 25-12 to the host Giants and 25-11, 25-16 to Eastbrook.
Kelsey Wood paced Jay County with team highs for 13 digs and three aces for the tournament. She also had seven points and six kills.
Liz Walker finished with nine points, seven digs and five assists, and Amy Alig totaled eight kills and four blocks. Kristi Morningstar and Kelci Reed each had seven digs, and Becky Muhlenkamp put up five assists.

FORT RECOVERY - The Fort Recovery junior varsity football team scored a touchdown in each of the first three quarters in its 18-8 victory over the New Bremen Cardinals Saturday.
Nate Wendel handled the first-half scoring, getting touchdowns on a 2-yard run in the opening quarter and a 1-yard run in the second. Nathan Keller caught a touchdown pass from Greg Kahlig in the third quarter for an 18-0 lead before New Bremen got on the board in the fourth.[[In-content Ad]]
