UNION CITY - The Jay County junior varsity baseball team continued its outstanding season Friday night with a 15-4, six-inning trouncing of the Union City Indians.
The Patriots (10-1) broke the game open with a seven-run third inning as they cruised to the win.
Willie had a second straight perfect game at the plate, following his 3-for-3 night Thursday against Fort Recovery with a 4-for-4 effort versus the Indians. He had two doubles and also score a pair of runs.
Phil Powell added three hits and three runs, and Mike Daniels and John Pettus each finished with two hits and two run.
Powell also picked up the win, giving up two runs on four hits in two innings.
Nat Brown and Mike Daniels each tossed two innings of relief.[[In-content Ad]]
