Rockets grab a Sunday pair (07/18/05)

The Portland Rockets are now 26-13 after a two-win doubleheader Sunday at Runkle-Miller Field.
The Rockets swept Healthkick of Fort Wayne 7-1 and 10-2, thanks to a great day at the plate that saw 11 hits in one game and 12 in the other for the Rockets.
Adam Childs had five hits for the day. Lenny Koesters, Phil Bruns, and Kyle Dygert each had a pair. Kris Steffen racked up three RBIs.
Nick Pfeffenbarger gave up just three hits in the first game, while Matt Ousley gave up six in the second.
Fan Day planned
The Geneva Cardinals will host Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Bloomdale Baseball Club will visit Geneva Sunday for a doubleheader.
The first 50 fans in attendance will receive a stadium cup courtesy of Jay County REMC, and most fans will also receive a rose.
