Starfire boys fall to Heritage

MONROEVILLE - For a half, the Starfires stayed even with the host Patriots. The deadlock quickly disappeared after the intermission.

The South Adams High School boys soccer team gave up the only goal of the game 30 seconds into the second half in a 1-0 loss Monday to Heritage.

The Starfire defense of Josh Ehr, Matt Fox, Cody Grimm and goalie L.J. Moser held strong for a first-half shutout before Heritage came through in the second half. Moser finished with four saves.

Bulldogs top FR

CELINA, Ohio - Fort Recovery's middle school volleyball teams fell Monday to the Celina Bulldogs.

The seventh graders slipped to 1-3 with a 25-8, 25-22 loss, and the eighth grade team is still looking for its first win after falling 25-7, 25-9.

Rachel Pugh scored eight points to lead the seventh grade Indians. Tori Lennartz added four points and a kill.

Morgan Dues finish with three points, two digs, one kill and one assist for the eighth grade squad. Sierra Pugh had one kill and one block.[[In-content Ad]]
