Stars fall to Woodlan (10/01/2008)

WOODBURN - The South Adams volleyball team picked up its second win of the season Saturday. Number three eluded the Starfires Tuesday.

SAHS lost to the host Woodlan Warriors, 25-15, 25-21, 25-23.

Kyla Potts finished with 12 digs and four kills in the defeat. Amber Neuenscwander had 11 digs.

South Adams also lost the junior varsity match, 25-5, 25-15.

Fort freshmen win

COLDWATER, Ohio - Fort Recovery's freshman volleyball team stumbled in the second game, but still recovered for a 25-19, 12-25, 25-23 victory Tuesday over the Coldwater Cavaliers.

Abby Backs paced the Indians (9-7) with 13 points and three digs. Kayla Kahlig scored 14 points, and Olivia Schwieterman had nine assists and three kills.

Kara Faller came up with four digs, and Ericka Lennartz followed with three.[[In-content Ad]]
