Tankers tie with Northside

The Jay County middle school girls swim team stayed undefeated Monday, but did so as it settled for a 93-93 tie with Muncie Northside. The boys team lost 97-44.

Anne Vormohr, Sophie Bader, Caitlin Mark and Rhianon Mills all picked up individual victories for the girls team. Vormohr, Mark, Bader and Katy Smeltzer turned in victories in the 200-yard medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay.

Smeltzer was the runner-up in a pair of individual events.

Sok Vormohr turned in the lone victory for the boys team. Evan Mathias and Zane Shreve each added second-place finishes.[[In-content Ad]]
