GREENVILLE — Three players scored in double figures Tuesday as the Fort Recovery High School girls basketball team rolled over the Greenville Green Wave 57-29.
Tori Lennartz had a game-high 19 points and 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. The junior forward was 7-of-16 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free-throw line to lead the Indians.
Fort Recovery (3-0) got 10-point efforts from Kendra Siefring and Sierra Pugh, who was also 5-of-5 from the free throw line. Kara Jutte added nine points, while Caley Schoenherr added seven.
The Tribe led 22-12 at half and outscored the Green Wave 35-17 after intermission.
In junior varsity action, Fort Recovery’s Jocelyn Kaiser nearly scored as many points as the entire Greenville team, lighting up the scoreboard for 17 as the Tribe blew out the Green Wave 61-25.
Eleven different players scored points for the Indians, with Kirsten Jutte tallying nine, Kelsey Evers, Devin Post and Whitney Will recording six points and Kasey Vogel adding four.
Katie Stammen, Grace Gehle and Mikayla Post each added three points for the Indians, while Logan Ranly and Audra Metzger each had two points.

Stars top Giants

MARION — The South Adams High School girls swim team picked up its first win of the young season Tuesday, defeating the Marion Giants 85-79.
South Adams won 10 of the 11 events, with its only defeat coming in the 100-yard backstroke. Cady Farlow (100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke) and Riley Thompson (200 freestyle and 500 freestyle) were both double winners.
Ellie Kaverman (50 freestyle), Brandi Robertson (100 freestyle) and Victoria Richardson (200 individual) all added one win apiece.
Audrey Burson, Thompson and Kaverman teamed with Farlow to win the 200 medley relay and later joined Robertson to win the 200 freestyle relay.

Rangers top FRMS
FORT RECOVERY — The Fort Recovery Middle School seventh grade girls basketball team dropped its season opener Tuesday to the New Knoxville Rangers 26-23.
Faith Kahlig led the Indians’ offensive output, recording a team-high 10 points.
Hanna Knapke added six points, Elise Gehle added four points and Aleigha Jenkins had three.[[In-content Ad]]
