Two break records
JC Summer Swim Team
BERNE - Anne Vormohr set a pair of records Wednesday and Alex Bader added another during the Jay County Summer Swim team's season opener against South Adams. There was no final score tallied because the meet was halted by the storms.
Vormohr was one of six Jay County swimmers to win three events, and she set team records in the 11-12-year-old girls 50-yard backstroke and 100 freestyle. Bader, Vormohr's cousin, also won a trio of events while breaking the team record in the 9-10-year-old girls 50 butterfly.
Eliza Bader, Katy Smeltzer, Neal Fennig and Mary Hudson also won three events apiece. Double winners were Christopher McDowell, Sophie Bader, Zane Shreve, Eme Miller and Aaron Hudson.[[In-content Ad]]
