Young, Vormohr lead Jay (06/06/07)
Jay County Summer Swim Team
The Jay County Summer Swim Team kicked off its season Tuesday with a 701-267 victory over Delta.
Adam Young and Sok Vormohr led Jay County with a domination of the 9-10-year-old boys division. Young earned wins in the long freestyle, backstroke and short freestyle, and Vormohr took top honors in the butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke.
Cori Stone added three more wins in the 9-10-year-old girls division in the long freestyle, individual medley and short freestyle.
Alex Bader and Alex Bullard each earned three wins in the 8-and-younger division, and Cori Vormohr and Sam Miller each won three in the 15-and-older division.
Bader and Bullard both took first in the butterfly and individual medley while Bader was first in the breaststroke and Bullard won the short freestyle. Cori Vormohr's three victories came in the butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke while Miller won the long freestyle, butterfly and short freestyle.
Neal Fennig was first in the 13-14-year-old boys long freestyle, backstroke and individual medley.
Adding two wins apiece were Audrey Shreve, Brandt Pearson, Katy Smeltzer, Richard Osterholt, Tina Gingrasso and Nathan Cain.[[In-content Ad]]
