Four Patriots earn honors
JCHS/SAHS volleyball
Jay County had four volleyball players rewarded by the Allen?County Athletic Conference for their efforts on the court this season.
Two Starfires also earned all-conference honors.
Sophomore Abby Barcus and Kylie Osborne were named to the all-ACAC first team as hitters after helping Jay County to a 23-8 record and a 5-2 conference mark in the school’s first season as a member of the ACAC.
Sophomore setter Lizzy Schoenlein and junior hitter Abby Wendel made the second team.
South Adams senior libero Lauren Smith was the only first-teamer for the Starfires, who finished the season 13-18 and lost in the sectional quarterfinal to conference foe Woodlan. Junior Kylea Pierce was named to the all-ACAC second team.
