BERNE — The Starfire boys keep on winning.
The girls rebounded from their only loss of the season.
South Adams High School’s boys and girls swim teams both defeated the Norwell Knights on Thursday.
The SAHS boys moved to 6-0 on the season with a 113.5-66.5 victory. The girls won 113-63, improving to 7-1.
Twins Ashton and Brette Klopp, and Ashley LeFever, were dual winners for the SAHS girls. Ashton won both the 200-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly races. Brette earned victories in the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke, and LeFever beat the field in both the 50 and 100 freestyle events.
Audrey Burson earned the other individual victory for the Starfires in the 100 breaststroke.
The quartet started the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay, with Olivia Von Gunten, Olivia Mason, Caroline Kloepper and Burson teaming for a victory in the 200 freestyle relay.
LeFever, Von Gunten and the Klopps also won the 400 freestyle relay.
Daniel Burson was victorious in both the 200 and 500 freestyle races for the SAHS boys. Zach Colpaert (50 freestyle), Xavier Rupp (100 butterfly), David Steffen (100 freestyle) and Daniel Steffen (100 breaststroke) also earned wins for South Adams.
Zach Teeple joined Burson and the Steffens for a win in the 200 medley relay, with Jesse Sutton teaming with Burson, Colpaert and David Steffen to earn a victory in the 200 freestyle relay.

MUNCIE — The South Adams girls basketball team survived a late scare Thursday to remain undefeated with a 40-37 victory on the road against the Delta Eagles.
The Starfires (12-0), who host defending Allen County Athletic Conference champion Jay County at noon Saturday, had a 17-11 lead at halftime but saw it shrink to just two points, 28-26, heading into the fourth quarter.
South Adams and Delta went nearly point-for-point in the final period, but the Starfires escaped with a win.
Cindy In’t Groen had 17 points to lead South Adams. Lexi Dellinger also added 11 to give the Stars two players in double figures. Maddie Morgan and Sydney Pierce each had four points, with Madi Wurster and Calyssa Lehman adding two apiece.
Hailie Workman had 14 points to lead the Eagles (2-11).
The SAHS junior varsity team lost, 27-10. Emilee Myers had six points to lead the Starfires.
Jay falls in OT
MUNCIE —Jay County’s junior varsity boys basketball team gave up a first-half lead and managed only three points after regulation in a 62-54 loss to Muncie Central.
The Patriots (5-2) rallied late to send the game into overtime, but only hit a trio of free throws in the extra period while the Bearcats scored 10 points.
Jay County led 19-11 after one quarter, but fell behind 30-27 at half.
Wyatt Geesaman led the Patriots with 15 points, and Ninde finished with a dozen. Gabe Faulker chipped in 11 points, and Parker Grimes added five.
Joseph Thomas led the Bearcats with 12 points.
