WJMS knocks off Flying Jets

DUNKIRK — The West Jay Middle School wrestling team picked up its first dual meet victory of the season Thursday, edging the Adams Central Jets, 24-23.
Malcolm McIntire (102-pound weight class), Andrew Toney (150), Nathaniel Lykins (160) and Larkin Alsip (220) all pinned their opponents in leading the Eagles (1-3) to victory.
In reserve action, Rob Garringer, Johnathan Pierce, Toney, Lykins and Alsip also earned victories. Garringer won by tech fall, and the others pinned their respective opponents.
