Stone sets new school records

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Cori Stone continues to improve in the pool.
She’s breaking her own school records in the process.
The Fort Recovery High School junior set new marks in both the 100-yard butterfly and 200 freestyle during the Northwest Ohio Division II District Swimming and Diving meet Friday at Bowling Green State University.
Stone finished ninth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2 minutes, 3.53 seconds, and her time of 1:02.7 in the 100 butterfly was 11th.
Her younger sister Carley, a freshman, was 11th in the 100 backstroke (1:04.66) and 5th in the 50 freestyle (25.9 seconds). Sophie Timmerman placed 11th in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:13.7.
Timmerman and the Stone sisters joined Alexis Bubp to finish 13th in the 200 medley relay (1:57.74). The 400 freestyle relay team of Olivia Acheson, Bubp and the Stones finished in 4:02.09 to finish 16th.
Timmerman finished 31st in the 200 freestyle (2:16.35), and Bubp was 31st in the 100 freestyle (1:00.85)
