Pioneer wins Rookie tourney

Local roundup

It was the seventh consecutive victory for Pioneer.
Landon Blowers paced the Pioneer offense with a triple and two singles. Rhysin Blowers and Jacob Wallace both added a double and a single.

Griffin Byrum, Isaac Roop and Hunter Lawhead each had a double and a single in Ponderosa’s losing effort. Gavin Byrum and AJ Myers both tallied two singes.

Tribe tops Parkway

COLDWATER, Ohio — Fort Recovery defeated Parkway 7-4 in the loser’s bracket of the Mercer County ACME tournament Sunday at Coldwater.
The Indians (9-3) lost to 2-0 to Coldwater earlier in the day in the semifinal round.

Hunter Boughman led the Indians with two hits in the loss against Coldwater.
