Tribe football team stays at No. 3

Indians received three first-place votes

The Indians’ record moved to 5-0 on Friday.
Monday, their ranking stayed the same.
Fort Recovery High School’s football team remained No. 3 in Division VII in the most recent Associated Press poll.
The Indians (5-0) received three out of 24 first-place votes and a total of 141 points. Danville, which received 14 first-place votes, is ranked No. 1 with 207 points, with Caldwell (four) ranked ahead of the Indians with 183 points.
Lucas (135) and Warren John F. Kennedy (124) are fourth and fifth respectively, as the top five teams stayed put from a week ago.

Mogadore (105) and Midwest Athletic Conference foe Minster (83) moved up one spot each to sixth and seventh place respectively. West Unity Hilltop (70) fell from sixth to eighth despite still being undefeated at 5-0, and McComb (68) stayed at No. 9.
Miami Valley Christian Academy, which was 12th in the Sept. 21 poll, entered the top 10 with 36 points.
Coldwater and Marion Local — MAC rivals of Fort Recovery and defending Division V and Division VII state champions respectively — still hold the top spot in their respective divisions. Coldwater (5-0) received 21 of 24 first-place votes in Division V, and Marion Local (5-0), which was bumped up a division this year, got 19 votes for first place in Division VI.
