Friday at Delta: Jay County had a tough time defending Adam Haynes as he poured in 22 points in helping the host Delta Eagles sink the Patriots, 43-31. Cole Stigleman set a career-high with 11 points and Schlosser chipped in 11 as well.

Friday at Union County: Winchester converted six 3-pointers in the first half and held the host Patriots scoreless for nearly seven minutes during the second half in a 57-53 victory. Boo Enis scored 19 points for Winchester, and Michael Georgi added 14.

Last season: Then-sophomore Cole Stigleman hit a 3-pointer to give Jay County a two-point lead with 19 seconds on the clock, but Winchester senior Kiante Enis made a layup in the final second as the Golden Falcons defeated Jay County in Portland, 37-36. Enis led all players with 18 points after scoring just two in the first half.  Jay Houck led the Patriots with 14 points and Adam Dirksen chipped in 10 points.

Game notes: This is the 47th meeting all time between Jay County and Winchester, and the Patriots have a 29-17 edge in the series. Winchester’s victory last season snapped a four-game losing streak to the Patriots. ... Winchester averagees 56.6 points per game offensively while allowing 45 points on defense. Jay County, meanwhile, allows 44.5 points per game while scoring nearly 50 points on offense ... This completes a short two-game road swing for JCHS, which then returns home for three games.
