Baders, Beiswangers, Dows and Vormohrs.
For the Jay County Summer Swim Team, Tuesday’s victory had a family feel.
Each of those families had multiple swimmers earn three victories as Jay County nearly doubled up on visiting South Adams with a 736-387 win at Portland Water Park.
The Bader brood accounted for nine individual wins, with Mara taking the 9-10-year-old girls 25-meter breaststroke, 50 freestyle and 100 individual medley. Eliza won the 13-14-year-old girls 50 butterfly, 50 backstroke and 50 freestyle, and Sophie was first in the 15-and-older girls 100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke and 50 freestyle.

The Beiswangers boys took care of business with Creed winning the 9-10-year-old boys 25 backstroke, 25 freestyle and 50 freestyle while Dorane captured victories in the 11-12-year-old boys 50 backstroke, 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle.
Joseph Dow joined Creed Beiswanger to sweep the 9-10-year-old boys division as he scored wins in the 25 butterfly, 25 breaststroke and 100 IM, and his sister Ashlyn took the top spot in the 13-14-year-old girls 50 breaststroke, 100 freestyle and 200 IM. The Vormohrs swam along side cousin Sophie Bader in the 15-and-older events, with Anne and Sok each earning wins in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
Also adding three first-place finishes apiece were Maddy Snow (25 breaststroke, 100 freestyle, 100 IM) for the 8-and-younger girls, George Clemmons (25 butterfly, 25 backstroke, 100 IM) for the 8-and-younger boys and Hannah Laux (25 breaststroke, 25 butterfly, 25 freestyle) for the 9-10-year-old girls.
