The Foresters had a little bit of Patriot flair on Monday.
Lucas Hendee and Kyle Selvey, both 2014 Jay County High School graduates, made appearances for the Huntington University baseball team in a 12-6 loss at Cumberland (Tennessee).
Hendee, who was the Patriots’ catcher during his senior season, entered as a pinch hitter for the Foresters (4-15), and recorded an RBI single. It was his first hit, RBI and appearance. He did not play as a freshman.
Selvey was put in the game as a pinch runner, but was left stranded. He then went hitless in his only at bat.
Selvey has played in three games so far this season. He’s registered one at bat and scored once.
The Foresters travel to Ohio to take on the Mount Vernon Nazarene Cougars in a doubleheader Saturday.

Was one of four players to drive in two runs for the Bethel College baseball team in a 13-12 victory March 17 against Goshen College.

The sophomore outfielder walked in each of the first two innings, and hit an RBI double in the fourth.
