VERSAILLES, Ohio — The Indians had four players earn all-conference honors.
Seniors Micaiah Cox and and Austin Faller, junior Harrison Kaup and freshman Grant Knapke earned honorable mention honors as the Fort Recovery High School boys golf team finished fifth Saturday in the Midwest Athletic Conference championships at Stillwater Valley Golf Club.
Versailles won the team title with a 323. St. John’s was second with 326, and St. Henry placed third with 337. Fort Recovery shot 380.
Kaup was the top FRHS golfer, finishing 21st overall with a 93. Knapke shot a 94, Austin Faller finished with a 95 and Micaiah Cox was fourth on the team with 98.
Austin Pohl also competed, ad he finished with 105.
Nicholas Litten-Stonebraker of Versailles and Derek Klausing of St. John’s shared the individual championship by shooting 74. Litten-Stonebraker was the conference player of the year.

Tribe fifth
MINSTER, Ohio — Fort Recovery’s girls golf team finished fifth Saturday in the Midwest Athletic Conference championship at Arrowhead Golf Club.
Versailles won the tournament title with 371. Minster, which was the regular-season conference champion, was second with 391, and St. Henry was third with 395.
Fort Recovery shot 446.

Junior Kristen Keller was the top FRHS golfer, shooting 105 for 14th overall. Emily Bruns shot 107, Sophie Timmerman was third on the team with 115, and Elli Keller completed the Tribe’s team score with 119.
Eryn Litmer also competed, and she shot 137.
Lauren Heitkamp of Versailles was the MAC payer of the year.
Bruns earned second-team all-MAC honors, and Kristen Keller was given honorable mention.

Stars fall in final
ALBION — The South Adams freshman volleyball team lost in the championship match of the Central Noble Tournament.
The Starfires lost to Columbia City, 25-23, 25-24.
South Adams defeated East Noble (25-23, 25-14) and Winamac (25-23, 25-8) in pool play. They were placed in the Gold Pool and defeated Central Noble (25-20, 22-25, 15-8) to reach the final.
Alivia Bergman led the Starfires with 24 kills and 27 digs. Hannah Beitler totaled 13 kills, seven aces and eight digs, and Hannah Rhoades totaled 26 digs and six kills.
Sidney Schwartz tallied 40 assists.
