Friday vs. Fort Wayne South Side: Jason Schlosser had another career-high performance, pouring in 28 points, and Jay Houck added 26 as Jay County beat sectional rival South Side 75-60. The Patriots shot 71.4 percent from the field, while the Archers were just 44 percent.

Saturday vs. Bluffton: Points came at a premium as Heritage defeated conference rival Bluffton 29-24. The Patriots and Tigers were tied at five after the first quarter before HHS took an 11-7 lead at halftime. Rylie Schane led Heritage ith 10 points and Malcolm Smith chipped in eight points.

Last meeting: Jay County got off to a good start but Heritage closed the first half on a 9-0 run and rode the momentum to a 44-38 victory over Jay County on Jan. 10 in the opening round of the Allen County Athletic Conference tournament. Rylie Schane and Abram Beard both scored 15 points for Heritage, while Jay County got 13 and 10 respectively from Jay Houck and Jason Schlosser.
