Saturday vs. Southern Wells: Strong efforts in the second and fourth quarters gave?Jay County a 54-40 victory over Southern Wells in the Allen County Athletic Conference tournament consolation game at Bluffton. JCHS senior Jay Houck led all players with 19 points, and Cole Stigleman scored a career-best 12 points.

Friday vs. Heritage: South Adams fell victim to yet another comeback by Heritage in a 49-42 loss to the Patriots in the Allen County Athletic Conference tournament semifinal at Jay County. Marcus Teeter had a game-high 18 points for the Starfires, and Kody Fike chipped in with a dozen points.
Season leaders (per game): Points — Jared Grabau 17.2, Marcus Teeter 17.1, Kody Fike 8.2. Rebounds — Kody Fike 7.7, Marcus Teeter 4.5. Assists — Marcus Teeter 4.0.
Last season: Jay County defeated South Adams twice last year, once during the regular season (75-41) and again nine days later in the opening round of the ACAC tournament (59-48). Jay Houck combined to score 35 points against the Starfires.
