Two meets, two wins for Jay County.
The Jay County Summer Swim Team moved to 2-0 on the year Thursday with a 772-388 victory over the Celina Dolphins at Portland Water Park.
Jay County won half of the 82 individual events and 13 of the 20 relays en route to the win.
Seven swimmers — Morgan DeHoff (9-10-year-old), Mara Bader (11-12-year-old), Sophie Saxman (11-12-year-old), Eliza Bader (13-14-year-old), Ashlyn Dow (13-14-year-old), Alex Bader (15-and-older) and Garrett Campbell (15-and-older) — took home three first-place finishes.
Earning two wins apiece were Adria Roessner (8-and-younger), Alex Miller (8-and-younger), Maddy Snow (9-10-year-old) and Jason Minnich (15-and-older).
Individuals capturing one win each were Azalea Smith (9-10-year-old), Lincoln Clamme (9-10-year-old), Joseph Dow (11-12-year-old) and Ralph Link (11-12-year-old).
Jay County’s 13-14-year-old boys took first in every individual event. Juan Pablo Wiggins (open 200-meter freestyle), Drew Caldwell (long freestyle), Cameron Weimert (butterfly), Bode Malott (backstroke), Damian Hicks (individual medley), Griffin Mann (breaststroke) and Dorane Beiswanger (short freestyle) teamed to accomplish the feat.
