COLUMBUS, Ohio — The baseball team has a target on its back.
The softball squad has an uphill battle.
In the OHSAA baseball and softball postseason tournament draws held Sunday, the Fort Recovery High School baseball team earned the top seed.
The Tribe softball squad is the No. 10 seed.
Fort Recovery’s baseball team (11-6), which is ranked 10th in Division IV and defending back-to-back regional titles, will host a sectional championship game at 5 p.m. May 11 against the winner of a sectional semifinal game May 9 between No. 9 seed Lima Perry Commodores and No. 13 seed Lima Temple Christian.
The other sectional semifinal on the top side of the bracket pits No. 10 seed Lincolnview against No. 4 seed Crestview and No. 5 seed Parkway hosting No. 11 seed Upper Scioto Valley. Both games will be at 5 p.m. May 9, with the sectional championship slated for 5 p.m. May 11 at the site of the highest-seeded team.
Winners of each sectional will advance to the Coldwater district semifinal at 5 p.m. May 17, with the district final to be at 7 p.m. May 19.
In the bottom half of the district bracket, No. 2 seed Delphos St. John’s will host a sectional final against either No. 7 seed New Bremen and No. 8 seed Marion Local at 5 p.m. May 11. No. 3 seed Minster hosts Waynesfield-Goshen in a sectional semifinal at 5 p.m. May 9, with the winner advancing to play No. 6 seed St. Henry and No. 12 seed New Knoxville. The team with the highest seed will host the sectional title at 5 p.m. May 11.
The second district semifinal is 7 p.m. May 17 at Coldwater.

No. 3 seed Minster will host a sectional final at 5 p.m. May 11 against either No. 7 seed Ridgemont and No. 8 seed Perry.
In the top half of the bracket, fifth-ranked and top-seeded Parkway hosts a sectional final against the winner of an sectional semifinal game between No. 9 seed Upper Scioto Valley and No. 11 seed Lima Central Catholic. No. 4 seed Ada hosts No. 5 seed Spencerville in the other sectional championship at 5 p.m. May 11.
The district semifinal games are slated for 5 and 7 p.m. respectively on May 16 at Wapakoneta.
