Tuesday vs. Great Lakes?Loons: Fort Wayne got off to a hot start in the first inning on its way to a 7-5 victory in the first of a three-game set against the Great Lakes Loons (Los Angeles Dodgers) at Parkview Field.
The TinCaps (3-9)?scored six times in the first inning, thanks in part to a bases-loaded wild pitch. Gabriel Arias had an RBI?single, then the TinCaps scored three runs on walks with bases loaded.
Fort Wayne built a 7-0 advantage before the Loons (2-7)?mounted a comeback with three runs in the sixth inning and two in the ninth.
Carlos Belen contributed two hits for the TinCaps, while Esteury Ruiz and Luis Campusano also had singles.
Nick Margevicius earned his first win of the year for the TinCaps as he went 5 1/3 innings, allowed three earned runs on nine hits with nine strikeouts and one walk.
