MINSTER, Ohio — Jalyn Bruns again matched her career low.
It helped the Indians edge the Wildcats.
Bruns shot a 50 for the second straight match on Wednesday, leading the Fort Recovery High School girls golf team to a 225-226 victory over the Minster Wildcats at Arrowhead Golf Club.
It was the first Midwest Athletic Conference win of the season for the Indians.
Bruns, a freshman, set her career-best score Friday before matching it Tuesday. Shelby Stammen was second for the Indians with a 53, and Alli Vaughn was third with 56. Devin Jutte shot 66 to complete the team score.
Reagan Grieshop and Becca Wood shot a 69 and 70 respectively, but they did not factor into the team total.
Taylor Homan of Minster carded 48 to earn medalist honors.
Tribe beats Parkway
CELINA, Ohio — Fort Recovery’sboys golf team knocked off MAC rival Parkway 202-208 on Wednesday at Celina Lynx Golf Club.
Grant Knapke, a junior, birdied the par-5 second hole and shot par on two more as he earned match medalist with a 42. Blayne Tobe shot 49 as the Tribe’s second-best score.
Derek Locthefeld carded with 54 and Carson Rammell, who made par on the second hole, rounded out the team’s score with a 57.
Zander Kunkler (58) and Russell Gehle (76) also competed.
