BELLEFOUNTAINE, Ohio — The Indians have yet to drop a set.
Fort Recovery High School’s volleyball team earned a pair of sweeps Saturday at the Benjamin Logan Invitational.
The Indians (4-0) beat Triad 25-6, 25-5, 25-14 and host Benjamin Logan 25-14, 25-6, 25-10.
Paige Jutte and Cassy Martin led the Indians with 18 and 17 kills respectively. Martin also totaled six blocks.
Olivia Patch, Brooke Gaerke and Chloe Showalter chipped in eight kills.
Hannah Knapke finished with 24 digs, and Madi Rammel racked up 60 assists.
Jay drops opener
MUNCIE — The Jay County middle school seventh grade football team lost its season opener Thursday to Delta, 28-0.
Sam Myers had six carries for 41 yards, and Sean Carpenter totaled 27 rushing yards on seven carries.
Parker Nichols completed two passes for nine yards.
Myers and Carpenter both totaled five tackles, while Myers had one sack. Tristin Stout and Jeremiah Canterbury had four and three tackles respectively.
Results from the eighth grade contest were not provided.
