FORT RECOVERY — After back-to-back games against final-four teams, the Indians needed a break.

The Panthers provided a bit of a reprieve on Thursday.

Fort Recovery High School’s girls basketball team bounced back from consecutive losses with a 68-19 thrashing of the Parkway Panthers at Fort Site Fieldhouse.

The Indians (2-3, 1-1 Midwest Athletic Conference), who had lost to defending Division IV state champion Versailles on Dec. 6 and 2018 Division III state semifinalist Ottawa-Glandorf on Saturday, took out their frustrations on the Panthers (2-3, 0-2 MAC) early. The Tribe scored 20 and 21 points respectively in the first two quarters Thursday while holding Parkway to just eight points over the same span.

Fort Recovery ran up the score to 56-13 with one quarter to play.

Kierra Wendel led the Tribe with 10 rebounds, and Kahlig hauled in six boards.
